damaged goods…

It looks like a great BBQ, but it got fairly “banged up” during the shipping process. A couple of the iron parts are cracked but not broken. All in all it looks like a great grill and I look forward to using it. I would complain or return it but I had already put in 1-2 hours to assemble it and I was not going to re-start that process. Be sure to check ALL the parts before assembling. The lid has a nickle sized gash…
Good looking BBQ all-in-all.

Good product, but a real challenge to assemble. The assembly “directions” were actually a long series of drawings/pictures, several of which were difficult to interpret. I had to re-do two steps when some parts didn’t fit as I got further along in the assembly process. Two people are needed to get the parts out of the shipping box and for a couple of the assembly steps.

I’ve had this grill for just about a week now and think that I certainly got my money’s worth. The box arrived on the back porch; no damage. As far as the assembly is concerned, I agree with most of the other reviewers in that it took about 2 to 3 hours to put all the parts together. The assembly instructions are just pictures, no text but everything is pretty straightforward. I had to disassemble two pieces since it wasn’t clear on the instructions which way they were to be assembled. Minor issues.
The grill heats up very quickly and to a higher temperature than my old Brinkman grill. The cooking grates are solid cast iron; incredibly heavy and hopefully built to last a long time. The only other issue, which another reviewer alluded to, is the lack of food prep area on the grill. The adjustment knobs for the burner are on tray to the right side of the grill and not the front as on most other grills so the only other place to put a platter is on the cover of the side burner.
All in all, I’m glad I bought this grill and am enjoying it.
Fabulous Grille

Fabulous grille. The directions for assembly were daunting at first but turned out to be relatively uncomplicated. Took about 2 1/2 hours. I have had this for about 3 months, so I can’t speak to its longevity, but it works well, looks good. I don’t know if the stainless steel racks would be better as food sticks to the enamel version. The only complaint that I have is the lack of work room on the exterior surface.
Best Grill for the Money

I bought this grill about 1 year ago. Our family does a fair amount of entertaining and barbequing during the Spring and Summer. This grill simply delivers each and every time. It lights easily. The burners get to optimal temperature (even searing temperatures) quickly. It cooks evenly. It’s made of solid construction. It’s durable and looks great. It runs on propane gas, but it seems pretty efficient. I think this is my 3rd propane tank in 13 months. Some have commented on the size of the grilling area, but we have had over 10 people over and grill space has not been an issue. The burner plate on the left is a cool feature, but I have to admit that we have not used it very much….if at all. I think this is the only thing that distinguishes the E-310 (no burner plate) from the E-320.
I will say it took me a couple hours to assemble. Overall the instructions are decent, but they do have some spotty areas in terms of verbal instructions. But once assembled, the Weber E-320 runs great.
I understand that in this economy it’s hard to justify investing this much in a grill, but the alternative is buying something cheaper and less sturdy and having to replace it in a couple of years. I’ve been to a friend’s BBQ and watched him literally struggle lighting his grill and scratch his head wondering why it takes over 15 minutes to grill hamburgers. Needless to say his grill was not a Weber.
The bottom line is the Weber E-320 is an excellent product designed to last.
