Its not all stainless steel – but its a great buy and its a Weber!

The S-320 is a very good value for the price here on Amazon.com. Like many, we checked the reviews as well as the big box and some local stores. We went with Amazon.com because of their service (we have had other large purchases delivered previously and delivery service is excellent), the price (at least 20% below other retailers and shipping was free) and the selection (one stop shopping for all of the accessories) AND its a WEBER!

I would agree with all of the “5″ raters that this is an excellent grill, well built, solid metal (stainless steel, painted steel and painted aluminum) and it grills great. So far steaks, chicken, sausages, lobsters, veges and corn on the cob – grilled to perfection. One of the best portable gas grills we have owned. We are very happy and recommend this grill – but there are a few things the potential buyer should be aware of and therefore our “4″ rating…

    1) Its not all stainless steel. The frame is grey painted steel and the sides are grey paint aluminum. It looks great and will like last for many years – but its not all stainless steel

    2) Assembly took about 3 hours. Throw out the wrench provided – it is useless. You need a standard socket set and wrench as well as needle nose pliers and screw drivers. If you do not have these tools in your tool box you should not attempt assembly. The instructions are straight forward however it does take time, patience and assembly-know-how to put this grill together out of the box.

    3) The box delivered is big and about 180lbs. Make sure you have the delivery service place the box where you plan to assemble the grill. In the garage, on the patio or deck etc. You can not move the delivered box with a dolly, a set of two furniture dollies is what we used to move it into my shop for assembly.

    4) Assemble on a flat surface and I suggest on top of a blanket or tarp so you do not scratch the painted metal parts.

This is one great WEBER grill that will last for many years. Take your time to assemble and enjoy it. We are.

I did a lot of research and decided on this product. Is the stainless steel version worth the extra $200? I guess the answer to that question will be in the longevity of the product. I bought the cover that goes with the unit, so my expectations are that this unit will last me 15-plus years.

I have been using charcoal for years, so I was somewhat anti-propane. I already love the controlability of gas, particlarly for roasts. Gas also lets you grill spontaneously. Turn the thing on, and you can grill within minutes. Without wishing to sound sexist, my wife has already decided that she will use it with the kids during the week while I am working. She would never have used the old charcoal grill.

The construction of the unit is very good, with my only complaint being that the material is a little in the thin side, making it prone to bending if you aren’t careful. I love closed-top indirect-heat cooking, and this thing is amazing. I grill so much more now that I don’t have to do all the preparation I used to go through with my old charcoal unit.

Bottom line. This grill is the perfect compromise between the flimsy, low-end models, and the ridiculously-expensive top-of-the-line models like Viking.

It arrived on time. The shipping carton was in excellent condition, no damage to outside of box at all. Deliverer dropped it off right where we wanted it. It took me 3 hours to assemble it because I like to take my time and I had some interruptions. The instruction pictures could have been a little more accurate though. Some parts had 2 holes and picture only shows one. I cooked with it 3 times so far and it works perfectly. My only issue would be the clamp that holds the propane tank for measuring the tank weight. This clamp is not universal and did not fit my propane style tank (blue rhino). I managed to squeeze it in anyway though but only got 2 threads with the wing nut. Otherwise… PERFECT grill. I strongly recommend it.

I love the grill, but one strange flaw
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I did a ton of research on grills before I chose this one. I really did not want to spend that much money on a grill that I wouldn’t use too often. After doing the research I realized that the Weber grills always get great reviews, while others do not!! Well, I thankfully trusted the reviews and sure enough, I ordered from Amazon, and got a great price (still expensive though). I assembeled it in about an hour or less, it was fairly easy. Remember I said I don’t BBQ too often, well, the reason I don’t is because I STINK at it!! Until now that is. I swear to you, this grill actually makes you cook better! I was able to make corn on the cob, flank steak, burgers, and hot dogs to perfection. I have no idea how, but it’s true. On my old Kenmore grill I would either over or under cook everything or even worse burn it completely after a flare up. Do not hesitate to buy this grill. On to the strange flaw. After I assembeled it, I noticed that the stainless steel sheet on the door was dented in on some spots around the edge. I called Weber and they immediately sent me a new set of doors. Great company by the way. I figure it some how got by the “inspectors” because there was no damage on the outside of the box. Within a week the new doors arrived, and guess what? yep, the doors were damaged also. I called to tell Weber about it and they acted upset about the situation and said that they shouldn’t be that way so they sent another set out!! well a few days later another set arrived, I was so excited to finally have a good set of doors on the grill, I opened the package and you guessed it…..darn…. more dents!!! I then called Weber again just to let them know that there may be a problem in their factory and I told them not to worry and I’ll just assume it’s a manufacturing flaw and live with it. Well, they insisted one more time that it should not be that way and they wanted to send yet another set of doors!! I figured fine, they kind of forced it on me, I would be embarrassed to keep calling at this point. Guess what…..yep….that set had dents also!! at this point I didn’t even call them because I was afraid that they might send ANOTHER set! I guess I will live with it at this point, they are minor dents but definitely look bad at certain angles. I think the tool that cuts the sheet of stainless to the right size is causing the dents as it cuts. I don’t feel that a grill in this price range should have flaws like that. I normally would have taken a star off of the rating for that problem, but the reason I didn’t is because the grill is pretty awesome and the customer service has been second to none.
