Peppered Steaks

Recipe brought to you by Best Weber Gas Barbecues

Ingredients

  • 2 rump steaks
  • 6 crushed peppercorns
  • 5 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 tbs brown sugar
  • 1 tbs soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbs vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp chopped parsley
  • 1/2 tbs oil
  • 25 g butter


Method

  1. Place crushed peppercorns on a flat surface and press on the steak to embed them well. Turn over and repeat.
  2. In a bowl add the ketchup, soy sauce, sugar and vinegar and mix well. Add water up to 1/2 pint (300ml|).
  3. Grill the steaks on the barbecue then bring the sauce to the boil in a pan.
  4. Pour sauce over the steaks and garnish with parsley.
